How it works

Water repellent coating helps rain bead and move across the glass

The illustration shows how a hydrophobic surface can encourage water to bead and shed from treated glass. Results vary with weather, speed, glass condition, and coating maintenance. Coating does not replace windshield wipers or attentive driving.

Illustration comparing untreated glass, where rain forms a sheet, with treated glass, where water beads and airflow helps move droplets off; diagrams show coating on glass and wiper use.

The Process

From clean glass to water-repellent protection

  1. 1

    Deep-Clean the Glass

We wash and clean the glass selected for coating, removing contaminants and stubborn dirt, grime, and paint residue. We clay-bar the windshield when needed to leave the surface clean and ready for polishing.

  2. 2

    Machine-Polish the Windshield

We use a machine polisher with specialty glass-polishing pads and glass polish to prepare the windshield for coating application.

  3. 3

    Apply the Water Repellent Coating

We apply the coating to the glass included in your selected package.

  4. 4

    Allow the Surface to Cure

We let the coating surface-cure for approximately 15 minutes before moving to the next step.

  5. 5

    Remove Excess Residue

After the surface cure, we carefully remove excess coating residue from the glass.

  6. 6

    Allow the Full Cure

The remaining coating needs approximately 2 hours to fully cure before the vehicle is ready for the road.
